Marina Description

The SOUTH SHORE MARINA (aka. SSM) is located on the south side of the Pueblo Reservoir at lake Pueblo State Park, one of Colorado's most popular water sport and fishing destinations. Lake Pueblo features over 60 miles of shoreline and 4,500 acres of surface water. (Directions to the Marina.)

Tips

Have food in the fridge and want to know if the power went out for any length of time during the week while you were gone from your boat? Put a dime on top of an ice cube in the fridge freezer. If, upon your return, the dime has sunk into the ice cube, then you know the power was off for awhile. (Passed on by Ruth from who know who!) Of course, the power at the marina is pretty reliable, so let us know if you ever find an embedded dime.

Having trouble putting your boat into the slip? Don't go too fast, either when backing or pulling in forward, and make sure that any momentum you have is towards the dock and not the boat next to you. This means that you always angle towards the dock. Don't point your boat at the boat next to you. Need a diagram? Try these: Docking and More Docking.
